World-class recording studio complex
CIRCLE
STUDIOS
A HIDDEN GEM OF A CREATIVE SPACE IN THE CENTRE OF BIRMINGHAM, UK.
The Circle Recording Studios is a creative hub on the edge of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Located just inside Birmingham’s inner ring road, the recording studio complex is easily accessible from the national motorway and train networks and is just 25 minutes drive from Birmingham International Airport.
In additional to it’s exceptional acoustic environments and its wide range of vintage and modern audio equipment the studio complex has secure private parking for up to six vehicles and is accessible only via the car park. This, together with Birmingham’s location at the very centre of England, makes it the first choice location for bands touring the UK who wish to book recording studio time while in the country.
ABOUT
Designed by the world renowned Northward Acoustics, the recording studio complex is defined by its contrasting ‘vibey’ high-ceilinged live rooms and acoustically flat control rooms.
Circle Recording Studios complex is home to not just one but five studios. Recording Studio A boasts a large live room, hybrid API/Neve analogue console, ATC monitors, a range of microphones and outboard equipment (both vintage and modern). Studio B has a unique 18 tonne stone diffuser and a vibey live room lined entirely with polished maple. Studios C and D are post-production and writing rooms now available for long term let. Studio E is currently a white room with green, white and black screens but talk to us if you are interested in a long term let with a custom build out.

STUDIO ROOMS

STUDIO A
Studio A is the jewel in the crown of the Circle Recording Studios complex and is the home to our Chief Engineer, Trevor Gibson. Trevor has been engineering since 1982, has worked with well known artists from across the world.

STUDIO D
Studio D is a freestanding post-production suite in the Circle Recording Studios complex with a large isolation booth. Studio D boasts a similar design to Studio C, with deep bass traps built into the back walls and ceiling.

STUDIO B
Dave McCabe, an audio engineer of many years standing, is the occupant of the newly renovated Studio B. Until taking up the tenancy at Circle Recording Studios Dave had been Chief Engineer at Muthers Recording Studio for almost 20 years.

STUDIO E
Studio E is currently set up as a white room and is used for photography and video shoots. We are now considering converting the space to a large acoustically designed production suite or mixing/mastering room.

STUDIO C
Studio C is a freestanding post-production suite within the complex. While the control room appears relatively compact it cleverly hides a deep bass trap in its ceiling structure making an acoustically flat environment perfect for mixing.
